BECCA ROGERS UNVEILs DEBUT ELECTRO-POP SINGLE, 123 FT. JOE BILLS

WASHINGTON, DC – Songwriter and producer, Becca Rogers, released her debut electro-pop single, ‘123 ft. Joe Bills’ on Friday, April 15, 2022.

‘123’ captures the feeling of love at first sight: the lyrics explore the feeling of yearning and desire when you see someone who you immediately fall for. For the first 2 minutes, the singer imagines himself walking up to a girl at a club and asking her to dance, saying “123, won’t you dance with me?” A bright marimba synth creates a tropical, carefree, and confident feeling. The song builds up to the singer finally working up the confidence to ask her to dance. ‘123’ is a euphoric summer bop for anyone who wants to escape and dance with friends or a new crush.

Becca wrote the chorus melody of ‘123’ in 2019 in Norfolk, Virginia as a response to a Snapchat. Two years later, in Washington, D.C, Snapchat sent her a “memory” of the snap, and she thought “this melody is a bop!'“ She quickly wrote verses and a bridge to complete the song. Her girlfriend, Beatrice Cahill-Camden helped write the lyrics, and the two of them reminisced about when they met for the first time in NYC. Becca asked singer songwriter, Joe Bills, to perform the vocals, and she brought on her friend and producer Gustaf Claesson to help complete the production.

Rogers grew up in Tucson, Arizona and began playing the piano and writing music at a young age. She was fascinated by music’s ability to bring back old memories, so she studied neuroscience and music in college to help understand the phenomenon. She is particularly interested in producing catchy “ear worms.” During the pandemic, Rogers became more serious about songwriting and production by forming a music duo, Strawberry Aqua, with an old friend. They released their first two singles, Last Dance and Walk Away last year.

‘123’ was released on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and other major platforms. Please contact bexmusicproduction@gmail.com for interviews and further information.
